It's so nice you read you on The Banter again, Bob. Finally someone who gets it and doesn't just yell about the left.
I've been saying privately for years that the only true remedy for MAGA is for trump to see it through, and show the world how destructive and awful his agenda truly is. In fact, I was rooting for him to pop back out after his lost Labor Day weekend and get right back to it. Because if he kicks off now, we will have 11 more years of Just Dance Vance before he has to openly break democracy to stay in power where trump will do it next year.
I am aware of the human cost of wishing for trump to stay in power. It will hit everyone. But my children may never live in a free country if he doesn't fail just like Bob described.
I totally agree with you here, Bob. Let the "Extreme" Court, as I call them now, side with the "dumdum tyrant" and let the economy sputter and fail. Watch Chump's support irretrievably erode as the comb-over on his head when this happens and let democracy prevail!
I agree 100%. I’ve always thought this and I was rooting for tariffs. I’m ashamed to admit it because it hurts other people more than it hurts me, so it’s easy for me to say. But I think the economy is reparable, while the very welfare of the world hinges greatly on the US government. Betsy Stevenson said essentially the same thing: if SCOTUS upholds overturning tariffs, people might think the damage tariffs have already done were actually caused by having the tariffs cancelled. But so much damage has already been done. If people can get it straight in their heads, it might not be necessary to cause any more tariff suffering. But that’s a huge IF. And SCOTUS is always a huge IF.
I agree with the reasons given, that it might be best to let people feel the consequences of their decisions. Like you, I’m willing to take a hit myself if it wakes people up. But there’s a problem. The ruling is based on Trump being able to levy tariffs after he called for a national emergency. There’s more than tariffs at stake. If the decision is overturned, SCOTUS will be allowing the president to declare emergencies based upon nothing - no evidence, statistics, nothing. If the president says something is an emergency, nothing else is required - it becomes one by executive decree.
I absolutely agree. Even though I live on nothing but social security I want the numb nuts in the cult to realize that the failing economy and small businesses going belly up are totally the fault of their Dear Leader.

Agree Bob. As do others. Let them bleed. Maybe then they’ll learn.

The economy can recover. Democracy might not. Well put.
