Fuck Yeah, Democrats!
The party isn't just alive, it is kicking ass.

The Democrats won. Everywhere.
Abigail Spanberger won in Virginia, flipping the governorship Blue and taking 57% of the vote. Mikie Sherrill was elected governor in New Jersey by 56.2%.
In New York City, Zohran Mamdani thrashed Andrew Cuomo (who ran as an independent) 50.1% to 41.6%.
In California, residents overwhelmingly voted for Proposition 50:
When you dig into the details, the picture looks even grimmer for Republicans.
Latinos are abandoning the GOP in droves. Exit poll data suggest the GOP’s long-standing advantage with men is eroding — particularly among younger voters. Data from NBC showed that Abigail Spanberger captured 58% of male voters aged 18–29 and narrowly edged out her Republican rival among men aged 30–44. Mikie Sherrill performed almost identically — earning 57% of men aged 18–29 and an even stronger 62% among men aged 30–44. She too fell just short of winning the male vote overall, finishing at 49%. Zohran Mamdani dominated with younger men, winning 67% of male voters aged 18–29 and 67% among those aged 30–44 — two-thirds of all young male voters. He secured exactly 50% of the male vote overall, breaking even across all age groups.
This suggests the Trump coalition is, at the very least, fracturing across the country.
Having been promised everything under the sun from cheaper groceries to affordable healthcare, Trump has delivered almost nothing to the vast majority of Americans. They have seen their friends and neighbors carted off by masked agents to detention centers with no trial. Utility prices have risen by 12 percent in the past year. Their shopping bills are continuing to go up. Trump’s tariffs have destroyed businesses across the country while America’s wealthiest billionaires got $698 billion richer. Health care costs are set to explode in 2026. Trump has assaulted free speech, taken bribes from foreign governments, doled out pardons in return for political support, destroyed much of the federal government, and put obviously incompetent hacks in charge of major agencies. He has now presided over the longest government shutdown in US history.
This hasn’t gone unnoticed by the public, and no matter how much Trump lies about the state of the country, Americans are waking up to the disaster they voted for in 2024.
Last night was a loud and clear rebuke of Trump’s first year in office, and GOP strategists will be quietly panicking about the dreadful results. If the trend continues, 2026 could be a bloodbath for Republicans and stymie much of Trump’s agenda.
More than that, the nationwide elections marked the resurrection of the Democratic Party. From disaster in 2024, the party has regrouped and reenergized itself. They have proved in one night that Trump is not as strong as he looks, that the party is far from dead, and that they have finally gotten the message on what voters really want — and that is strong leadership focused on the cost of living. Democratic candidates ran on rent, groceries, jobs, and the promise that government can actually make people’s lives better.
Mamdani distanced himself from his ultra-woke positions and focused almost exclusively on housing, rent, public transit and the absurd cost of living in New York City. Spanberger ran almost entirely on economic competence and stability. Her campaign ads hammered “the price of everything” — groceries, gas, childcare — and tied Youngkin’s Republican administration to inflation and corporate profiteering. Sherrill’s campaign slogan was “Make Jersey Affordable Again”.
Rather than talking about land acknowledgements, defunding the police, and gender pronouns, Democrats finally talked about the issues that drive people to the polls — and it worked.
There’s plenty to say about Mamdani and the political baggage he brings, but his victory in New York City has sent a seismic shock through the establishment. An unashamed democratic socialist now runs the largest city in America — proving that voters will back anyone who speaks directly to their economic pain, even if the messenger makes elites squirm.
The fact that Spanberger and Sherrill are moderates speaks to the Democrats’ Big Tent appeal. The party can run democratic socialists in cities like New York and moderates in swing states like Virginia and New Jersey — and win both. Democrats don’t need to cater to one faction or purge another. They just need to work together and stay focused on the issues that matter — the economy, cost of living, and basic competence in government.
Democracy is alive and well in America, and that is a very big problem for Donald Trump and the GOP.

CORRECTING DRUMPF SOCIAL
Drumpf: “(I) wasn’t on the ballot, and shutdown, were the two reasons that Republicans lost elections tonight.”
Truth: His I-Am-King actions & his ‘let them eat cake’ shutdown were definitely on the ballot!
