The Most Corrupt President in American History
The scale of Trump’s crypto corruption is truly shocking.
by Bob Cesca
WASHINGTON, DC – It’s becoming impossible to keep up with Donald Trump’s corruption. Seems like every day there’s a new revelation about a no-bid contract for a Trump crony, or a story about Donald insider trading based on his announcements, or a story about Donald investing in a company just before it lands a lucrative government contract.
One of two major stories to drop this week was about Donald investing in Axon just before the company landed a contract to produce tasers for Immigration and Customs Enforcement. Yet another shocking convergence of an investment and a payoff.
This week, however, there was an even bigger story than that. The New York Times published a bombshell piece reporting that Donald Trump’s annual income jumped from $622 million in 2024 to at least $2.2B in 2025, primarily thanks to his cryptocurrency business World Liberty Financial and its USD1 stablecoin.
Donald’s income grew by 254 percent. Don’t know about you, but my income didn’t grow by that percentage. In fact, my income didn’t grow, especially factoring in the cost of his tariffs and his kneejerk war in Iran, which are, together, costing us money, driving up our household debt, while Donald rakes in a fortune.
There should be throngs of people with torches and pitchforks outside the White House because of this story alone.
It’s a glaringly obvious case of exploiting the presidency for profit. Pure corruption. Pure emoluments violations. Pure insider trading. All of it. Myriad grounds for impeachment and prison. The Republican Party shouldn’t be allowed to govern ever again for allowing all this to happen.
In 2024, World Liberty Financial raked in $57 million, according to the Times. In 2025, earnings jumped to $800 million – $636 million from his memecoin alone, which grew from $0 in 2024 since it didn’t exist at the time. For all intents and purposes, zero to $800 million within a year, fueled by presidential clout and fascist coercion.
Elsewhere, his profits from Mar-a-lago jumped by $27 million last year. His bed-bug infested Doral resort profits grew by $11 million. Safe to assume this is driven by taxpayer money spent for Secret Service and other measures associated with the owner being the, y’know, president.
Before we dig any further, it’s important to note that Donald and his sons – the preppy bullies from every 80s teen movie – want people to believe the president’s assets are being held in a blind trust, like most presidents, blocking Donald from knowing the details of his assets and investments in order to prevent conflicts of interest and corruption. But in reality, it’s not a blind trust, it’s a revocable trust run by the aforementioned Trump boys. Sparing you the details, this sort of arrangement allows him to change, cancel, or tap into his fortune at his discretion. Which he’s clearly doing. I mean, come on, it’s Donald Effing Trump.
So, yes, it’s likely (though, to be clear, unconfirmed) that he knows exactly what’s going on.
Let’s zero in on World Liberty with both an emoluments violation and straight up pay-for-play corruption.
First, the emoluments. Article I, Section 9, Clause 8 of the Constitution prohibits the president and any public office holder from accepting gifts and payments from foreign governments to prevent external influence on those officials.

Just before the 2025 inauguration, according to the Times, the UAE bought 49 percent of World Liberty. And then: “Soon the Emiratis struck a deal with the Trump administration — over the objections of some national security officials — for the export of valuable computer chips that power artificial intelligence.”
Remember the ongoing observation about Donald? Everything is transactional. The UAE invested in Donald’s crypto business, so the United States on Donald’s orders, invested in the UAE. Donald and his boys walk away significantly wealthier, as does the UAE, with zero benefit to the American people.
But that’s not the most obnoxiously obvious example of World Liberty corruption.
The massive crypto exchange Binance, and its shady founder Changpeng Zhao aka “CZ”, hold $3.56 billion of Donald’s World Liberty stablecoin USD1. Binance also runs the exchange platform PancakeSwap where $1 billion of USD1 is traded daily. That’s huge business for the Trumps. It’s also germane to note that CZ pleaded guilty to money laundering in 2024.
It should therefore come as no surprise that back in October, Donald pardoned CZ, and ordered the SEC to drop its suit against Binance. That’s about as clear an example of selling pardons as you’ll ever see. Worth adding that the Wall Street Journal reported that Binance violated Iran sanctions by helping its clients to circumvent the restrictions, then tried to cover it up while also suing the NewsCorp publication for defamation. Connect the dots to the fact that the Trump administration’s memorandum of understanding with Iran includes dropping all U.S. sanctions against the Islamic Republic.
Don’t allow this to be memory holed like the Trump-Russia story, or his COVID negligence, or January 6. The only way we’ll see accountability is if we keep the outrage as fresh and as loud as possible. None of this is normal, and if it becomes routine – just another presidential tradition that erases whole sections of the Constitution, then democracy is truly dead.
