Trump's Tough Guy Theory Falls Apart

Russia invaded Poland's airspace because they know Trump won't do anything about it.

According to Donald Trump, Russia would never have invaded Ukraine if he had been in power. The theory in MAGA circles is that Trump’s supposed toughness would have made Vladimir Putin deathly afraid to cross him.

Last night, Putin definitely proved this theory wrong.

During a large-scale Russian air assault on Ukraine, at least 19 Russian drones crossed into eastern Polish airspace—some entering from Belarus—and prompted Poland, with support from NATO allies including Dutch F-35s, Italian AWACS, and Polish F-16s, to shoot down those posing a threat.

One drone crashed into a residential building, causing damage but no injuries. Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk described the incursion as “the closest we have been to open conflict since World War II,” invoking NATO’s Article 4 that allows any NATO member country to bring a matter of security concern to the North Atlantic Council (NAC) for “consultation.”

Russia of course denied responsibility, claiming the drones “got lost.…
