Trump is running the most corrupt presidency in American history in plain sight. Democrats need to make it cost him.

This week, the President of the United States is preparing to host a cage-fighting match on the South Lawn of the White House — and his family is selling commemorative gold coins, priced as high as $12,000 and stamped with his face, to profit off the spectacle. The medallions, a collaboration between the UFC and the Trump Organization run by his sons, are marketed as the “only officially licensed” Trump coins on the market. The fight itself, staged on the same grass where presidents once welcomed kings, happens to fall on Trump’s 80th birthday. It is the kind of thing that would have ended a presidency in any other era. In this one, it is just another weekend.

The most astonishing thing about Trump’s corruption is not merely the staggering scale of it. It is that it is happening in plain sight, with no shame and almost no political consequence.

The White House has become Trump’s branding asset, and the Oval Office a gigantic revenue stream for him and his family. His family…
