Daniel Pinchbeck Interview: The Ecological Crisis And What You Can Do About It

An eye opening interview with one of the most important ecological thinkers of our time.

In today’s episode of The Banter Roundtable podcast, I spoke to noted author Daniel Pinchbeck about the ecological crisis, and what he is trying to do about it.

Pinchbeck has authored a number of fascinating books on ecology, psychedelics, and indigenous wisdom traditions that includes ‘Breaking Open the Head,’ ‘2012: The Return of Quetzalcoatl,’ and ‘How Soon is Now.’

Daniel has also developed a course called ‘Embracing Our Emergency,’ an online seminar featuring thinkers like Thom Hartmann, Jane Fonda, Jamie Wheal, and Michael Mann. The course aims to help people develop personal strategies to cope with the environmental crisis, build communities around regenerative practices, and help transform the catastrophe into something positive.

I had a wide ranging conversation with Daniel about the historic causes of climate change, our inability to come to terms with the scale of the disaster, why indigenous cultures have a more advanced understanding of nature, and what we can do about it. Daniel is one of the most fascinating thinkers of our time, so I think Banter readers will find the podcast incredibly insightful and above all, hopeful.
