How I'm Avoiding Disaster And Family Dissolution Under Lockdown
Three parents, three kids and never ending isolation during the Coronavirus pandemic is a recipe for disaster. Here's how the Rosario family is navigating these incredibly difficult times.

Here in Alexandria, Virginia, we’re closing in on our ninth week on lockdown. The last day of physical school for the kids and Claudia was March 13th and the last day Debbie stepped foot in her office was the following Monday on the 16th.
It’s been a radical change for everyone, except, kind of, for me. I had lost my editing job back in December due to the criminal activity of the CEO (No, I’m not making that up) and I had been looking for a comparable job since then. “Comparable” being the key word here. My previous job paid quite well but it was the variety of the editing that kept me interested. I like editing, but editing the same thing over and over (like, for instance, medical transcripts) would be stultifying no matter how much they pay me.
But wonder of wonders! I finally found exactly what I was looking for...right when school was closed for three weeks and then for the year while Debbie started working from home. So much for that. I can’t work even a part-tim…
