Republican extremists on the Supreme Court will end protections guaranteed by Roe v Wade. What comes next is terrifying.

Sometime this summer, most likely in June or July, the Republican extremists on the Supreme Court will end the protections guaranteed by Roe v Wade. They will almost certainly not overturn Roe outright because of the steep political price the Republican Party would pay. Instead, they will deliver a decision that leaves something in place as a fig leaf for the GOP to hide behind as they make safe abortions impossible to get throughout most of the United States. This is what a high court run by political operatives and rabid ideologues looks like.
They will not stop with abortion. They have decades of culture war losses to reverse and there is no legal mechanism left to stop them.
