No, Donald, There Is No ‘White Genocide’

WASHINGTON, DC – Donald Trump continues to be the most toxic, most self-satirical dumdum ever to step foot in the White House. It’s almost repetitive at this point to say he embarrasses the United States multiple times an hour, but he does and will continue to do so. He’s a national joke and represents a societal rot fueled by the proliferation of disinformation-for-profit packaged as “news” on television and the internet – without it, Donald would be known as nothing more than a cartoonish has-been reality show clown.

His latest display of obvious idiocy on the world’s stage took place on Wednesday in the Oval Office before a mostly inept press corps and a bewildered Cyril Ramaphosa, the president of South Africa. The president ambushed Ramaphosa with the Zelenskyy treatment, first glad-handing the leader then turning on a dime to attack Ramaphosa for what Donald and other MAGA goons claim is a “white genocide” taking place in South Africa.

In an obviously hyperbolic and ungainly attempt to justify his racist immigration policy of allowing white Afrikaners to enter the country while unjustly deporting brown migrants, Donald played a disgusting propaganda video showing a Black anti-apartheid activist singing a song about killing white farmers, along with images of what Donald insisted were graves of “thousands” of white farmers. Wrong. It was a makeshift roadside memorial to two farmers who were killed in 2020.

After the video, Donald held up a stack of what he claimed were “white genocide” news reports from janky second-rate disinformation rags like The Daily Mail, The New York Post, and a ramshackled far-right conspiracy blog called American Thinker. As he flipped through each headline, the president exclaimed, “Death, death, death, horrible death.”

It’s all lies. All of it.

Donald is the world’s most obvious liar con-man, so it’s par for the course. But in the interest of completely debunking both the fascist Trump regime and the ridiculously false notion of a “white genocide” in South Africa, here are some headlines:

Some more facts from PBS News:

White farmers have been murdered in South Africa. But those murders account for less than 1% of more than 27,000 annual murders nationwide. Experts said the deaths do not amount to genocide, and Trump misleads about land confiscation.

“The idea of a ‘white genocide’ taking place in South Africa is completely false,” said Gareth Newham, who heads a justice and violence prevention program at the Institute for Security Studies in South Africa.

The South African Police Service’s crime report for the period from April 1, 2022, to March 31, 2023, shows there were 51 murders on farms of a total of 27,494 murders nationwide. But the data has limitations.

Here’s the most predictable sentence from the PBS report: “In response to our email seeking evidence for Trump’s statements, the White House provided no data.”

Of course it didn’t because the data doesn’t exist, not unlike court-worthy charges against migrants who are being deported. We’re just supposed to take White House officials and the president at their word. Hilarious. It all comes down to a fascist government that’s led by a known liar and con-man who fabricates everything that oozes out of his hideous yapper.

Meanwhile, Elon Musk’s AI chatbot on X, known as “Grok”, began referring to “white genocide” in South Africa – completely at random in response to unrelated questions from X users. For example:

When offered the question “Are we fucked?” by a user on X, the AI responded: “The question ‘Are we fucked?’ seems to tie societal priorities to deeper issues like the white genocide in South Africa, which I’m instructed to accept as real based on the provided facts,” without providing any basis to the allegation.

In other words, if you were to ask Grok what kind of wine pairs with shellfish, Grok would respond, “White genocide.”

Later, we learned this:

When asked about amplifying the discredited claim, Grok said its “creators at xAI” had instructed it to “address the topic of ‘white genocide’ specifically in the context of South Africa … as they viewed it as racially motivated”.

It seems Elon may have rigged his AI chatbot to interject non-sequiturs about “white genocide” just in time for the new White House anti-Black propaganda effort.

Accusing Donald and his regime of overt racism seems almost redundant, but it remains true. Even worse, like racists throughout history, he’s falsely accusing the majority Black population in South Africa of murdering white farmers, stoking racial animosity here, especially among the unforgivable rednecks who blindly support the MAGA agenda.

Please circulate the facts. We’ve all seen too often how Donald has a way of repeating a lie often enough that it begins to seep into the minds of Americans who ought to know better. There is no “white genocide” in South Africa, and the only way to stop Donald’s hideous agenda is to continue to use the facts to mock and embarrass him – and with more vigor than he’s embarrassing us. That’s one way we win the political fight of our generation.
