Thank God, The Twitter Killer Is Here
Join us on Substack's new social media site. It's absolutely fantastic.
Dearest Banter reader,
Some very big news. I just published my first note on Substack Notes, a brand new social media network built into the Substack eco system. I’ve been playing with this in beta for the past few days and I’m convinced this really is the Twitter killer we’ve all been waiting for. It’s super clean, easy to use, and has no ads. You won’t be suppressed for posting something Elon Musk/Mark Zuckerberg don’t want that particular day too. Given there is no ad incentives, it means you also won’t get shown posts designed to keep you angry and clicking. It’s not perfect, but it’s a hell of a lot better than pretty much all the alternatives available. Here’s my first post:
Click on it and sign up for your own account. You can share links, short posts, quotes, photos etc. I’ll be using it to post short thoughts/articles I like/silly memes etc throughout the day. I’d love to connect with you there.
How to join
This from Substack HQ:
Head to substack.com/notes or find the “Notes” tab in the Substack app. As a subscriber to The Banter, you’ll automatically see our notes.
You can also share notes of your own. If you encounter any issues, you can always refer to the Notes FAQ for assistance.
I hope this precipitates the fall of Twitter and ruins Elon Musk’s dishonest, dangerous business venture designed only to inject chaos into society when we need it the least.
Ben
Done! Thank you for making finding and signing up easier.
I’m on my phone. I’ll have to check later to see what the experience is on my desktop. But right now, FYI, what I see for your link to your first note is:
