If we on the left were to pick a slogan for the 21st Century, I would like to nominate, "We fucking told you so!" as the top contender. Because we did. A lot. We said, for years, that the right wanted to criminalize not just abortion, but birth control. We said, for years, that the right wanted to reduce women to a birthing vessel with no agency of their own. We said, for years, that the right did not give a damn about the baby but only in punishing women. We fucking told you so and we were right:
