This isn't just about mRNA vaccines, it's about America's future as an advanced democracy.

Question: How do you take America from being the leading innovator in medical science, technology, and medicine into a global laughing stock in as fast a time as possible?

Answer: Put an anti-vaccine crank with no scientific background in charge of Human Health Services, and a Covid conspiracy theorist in charge of the National Institute of Health.

This is of course exactly what the new Trump administration has done by giving RFK Jr. control over the Human Health Services, and Dr. Jay Bhattacharya in charge of the National Institute of Health (NIH).

High on both men’s agenda is the destruction of mRNA vaccines — not based on new evidence that they are dangerous for human health — but on unfounded, ideologically driven beliefs.

The birthplace of mRNA

Before the second incarnation of the Trump administration, America was investing heavily in mRNA vaccines — vaccines that were created in the US at the University of Pennsylvania. …
