The tagline for Tucker Carlson’s show is perhaps the greatest example of Fox News’s war on reality:
“Tucker Carlson Tonight' is the sworn enemy of lying, pomposity, smugness and group think. We ask the questions that you would ask - and demand answers.”
Given Carlson is a pompous, smug, liar who uses his considerable skills as a political commentator to reinforce group think amongst Trump supporters, it is a description George Orwell would be proud of.
Above is a short bonus segment of The Banter Podcast on Tucker Carlson’s extraordinary screed last week on the possibility that Donald Trump might lose the election. It was, for lack of a better word, totally bonkers. Carlson might be right about Trump losing the 2020 election, but the fictional world he creates in explaining why makes Trump look like an honest man. We felt this was worthy of a separate post given Carlson’s prominence in the pro Trump media echo chamber, and his efficacy as a cheerleader for Trumpism.
