There's definitely no exaggeration. As for underestimation it would be a challenge for many to anticipate this level of blatant and whimsical bumbling cruelty and moronic governmental malpractice were it not for the last 50 years of Republican ideology and donnie's actual business record (Ben, that's NOT a dig on you btw).
I think the slavish and complicit actions of mainstream media in the lead up to the election neglecting to remind people of his abhorrent response to Covid, The Capitol Riots on Jan 6th, partying with Epstein for 25 years, his failure to attend dignified transfers of service members, 34 felony counts (that means he's a criminal), the raping of E. Jean Carroll, to name only a few of a plethora of other things is so pathetic as to be nearly comical. Add to that their willingness to crucify Biden for several news cycles over mispronouncing a word (heard donnie lately?) or for being his age is a journalistic crime at best. Social media did the same thing in their own way by throttling certain posts that didn't necessarily align with the algorithm of the platforms politics and promoting others that did.
The other aspect that I wonder if it was addressed in the way it should have been, by and large, is the Republican party being accessories to his crimes. The Democrats take a great deal of heat for what they do wrong and do not get much praise for what they do right. How about the Republicans buckling like belts to avoid his name-calling and cowardly forfeiting their power for their pants-pooping man baby who might volley some ketchup? Does anyone ask them about that? Does anyone put them in the spotlight and force an answer as to why they're totally cool with Rapey McShitzinpantz ignoring the rule of law and the Constitution that he took an oath to uphold? The double standard is maddening.
"Rapey McShitzinpantz" -- hahaha! Brilliant. Your point about the double standards is spot on. That's why I think the Dems should not bother going after Trump if/when they win the midterms. Instead just go after the enablers and make their lives absolute hell. It sucks that Trump is going to get away with all of his crimes, but in truth he's the symptom of a much deeper rot in the GOP, not the cause of it.
