WASHINGTON, DC – We’ve all observed how Fox News and the broader Red Hat entertainment complex tells its fanboys one thing, while doing the opposite behind closed doors. Most recently, we learned through the Dominion lawsuit that Fox News hosts privately sneered at the Trump-invented conspiracy theories about the 2020 election, while insulting and ridiculing the operatives who were tasked with spreading the bullshit. We also know that many of these alleged news organizations enforced mask and vaccine mandates during the worst parts of COVID, while opposing those things on the air.
And now we can add more duplicity to the list. Hang on tight, this is a good one.
By now we all know that the Republican anti-woke holy war against the LGBTQ community and, specifically, trans people and drag performers has reached new depths of horrendousness. Led by the Daily Wire network of podcasts – bigoted sideshow geeks Ben Shapiro, Candace Owens, Matt Walsh, and probably Major Frank Burns – and joined by Ron DeSantis, Fox News, and others, this jihad has contributed to the passage of harrowing anti-trans, anti-drag laws, bans on trans athletes, bathroom bills, and bans on gender affirming care, while boycotts have been deployed against Budweiser, Target, Disney, and more.
You’ll never believe the movement’s next target.
A far-right news site called The Daily Signal acquired a leaked copy of the Fox News employee handbook. In it, the network goes Full Woke when it comes to matters of gender identity. From the article:
Fox News employees are allowed to use bathrooms that align with their gender identity, rather than their biological sex, and permitted to dress in alignment with their preferred gender. They must also be addressed by their preferred name and pronouns in the workplace.
And that’s just the beginning.
Fox also offers to help employees come up with a “Workplace Transition Plan” to ease their gender transition at work.
Not only is Fox News supportive of trans employees, but presumably its HR department will help to facilitate the transition process. I suppose you could call it Fox News Gender Affirming Care. Along those lines:
Under the category “Gender Transition,” Fox’s employee handbook promises that the company is dedicated to “expanding and strengthening” efforts to “sustain a more inclusive work environment.”
So sweet of them, isn’t it. I’m a little verklempt. By the way, have I mentioned the “work environment” is Fox News Channel? It is.
“Employees who are transitioning their gender have the right to be open about their transition if they so choose, and to work in an environment free of harassment, discrimination, or retaliation, and without fear of consequences or transphobia for living openly,” the policy says.
In other words, Republican fire-eaters aren’t allowed to hector trans workers or drag queens at Fox News. I don’t imagine there are many drag queens at Fox, though I’ve heard some rumors about Brit Hume (kidding…or am I?).
And finally:
Citing the Human Rights Campaign, one of the most prominent LGBTQ organizations in the country, the Fox handbook defines a slew of LGBTQ terms, including cisgender, gender expression, gender-fluid, gender identity, gender non-conforming, gender transition, LGBTQ, non-binary, and transgender.
But it’s Democrats who are allegedly suffering from the woke mind virus, right?
The upshot is that Fox News is being relentlessly attacked – or canceled – by the town elders from Footloose who now control Republican messaging.
Daily Wire bigot Matt Walsh, who’s directly responsible for much of the anti-trans jihad, tweeted: “Fox needs to get the full Bud Light treatment. They are actively working to suppress conservative voices while promoting leftism in its most radical form. Enough is enough.”
The network joins the aforementioned Disney, Target, Bud Light, Miller Light, et al, as the enemies of the MAGA movement. That said, let’s take a second to applaud Fox News Channel and its wokeness. For all of its duplicity, propaganda, and disinformation, at least the network is kind to the LGBTQ community behind-the-scenes and we at The Banter congratulate Rupert Murdoch for fostering such an inclusive environment. Good job!
And now, finally, it looks like Fox News’s normally slow-on-the-uptake viewers are starting to get it – that Fox News is fake news.

Underestimate Biden At Your Peril
"Fear the old man in a profession where men die young"
by Ben Cohen
“We need someone better”
“Biden is too old”
“Trump is going to steamroll him”
“Biden can’t string a sentence together”
“He’s senile”
“He has dementia”
“The Democrats suck”
I’ve heard this from liberal friends both online and in the real world. Democratic voters are anxious about 2024 and believe Trump could do the unthinkable. These fears have been compounded by new entrances into next year’s election: the anti-vax Kennedy currently making waves with low information Goop readers, and Oprah Winfrey’s spiritual guru Marianne Williamson who believes hurricanes can be averted with “two minutes of prayer, visualization, meditation for those in the way of the storm”.
Then there is the “No Labels” centrist group raising cash to promote a third party candidate like Joe Manchin Kyrsten Sinema, or Larry Hogan to provide a so-called “insurance policy in the event both major parties put forth presidential candidates the vast majority of Americans don’t support” (ie. Biden and Trump).
Anxiety attacks
The best example of voter worry can be seen in the perennially anxious Andrew Sullivan, who serves as a highly predictable bellwether for what the chattering classes think at any given moment. Sullivan believes Trump’s virility will be enough to neuter the Biden presidency, writing this after watching Trump’s bombastic performance on CNN earlier this month:

"You’ll Never Believe Which Cable News Channel Is Super Woke"
Given the truly extensive hypocrisy of just about everything Fox does, them having very LGBTQ+ friendly rules in their handbook seems, oddly, expected.
