It’s September of 2023. We are just 14 months out from the November 2024 election. We’ve been talking about it for the better part of the last two years so it’s understandable if a bit of election fatigue has already set in. We are, after all, trapped in a never-ending election cycle that by itself takes its toll on both democracy and our mental wellbeing. 

But you’d better buckle up because we’re about to enter the really nasty part of the cycle. This is going to be, again, by design, a hot mess of an election. Biden and the Democrats are going to run a completely normal campaign, whereas Trump and his allies are going to be screeching monkeys flinging shit (and ketchup) at the wall. You can count on your allegedly liberal media is going to gleefully amplify it for maximum ratings.
