On 1-A on NPR this morning, a woman had emailed in and talked about how her daughter, 39, had had to go through four names before she hit on her kid's actual name. The emailer referred to it as "the dementia of being extremely busy." And she wasn't juggling multiple foreign crises.

My mom would confuse my sister and I all the time when we were kids. I seem to recall that she even called my brother by the dog's name

It’s a parent’s job to confuse their kids. If they understood all things, how else would you keep them from taking over?

All absolutely accurate. Is it ideal that Biden isn’t what he once was? Of course not. But his deficiencies pale in comparison to the malicious megalomaniacal sociopathy of Burrito Mussolini (who’s memory is easily as faulty as Bidens… though more because he is a pathological liar who will believe whatever the last thing spewed from his maw to be an actual fact).

Additionally no one expects the president to have total recall. Thats why they have stacks of briefing papers and dozens of close advisors/entire departments to help execute the work of the government.

I totally agree with your assessment here, Ben, of the special counsel's damaging report of Biden's culpability in the classified documents case. Ive seen the horrible Post headline today that just reiterates what Hur said about Biden that he's an "elderly man with a poor memory." What possessed this special counsel to even say this about the president? It's totally unprofessional and unwarranted in my opinion. Also, this hit job against Biden reminds me of former FBI Director James Comey's strike against Hillary Clinton just a week before the election of 2016. That really damaged her chances of winning the presidency. The fact that this unwise assessment of the president's memory was done in February will, hopefully, not even be remembered by Americans who suffer from a collective amnesia anyway by Election Day.

I do agree totally with the opinion rendered earlier by Mr. Rutenberg that "Burrito Mussolini'"'s memory is just as faulty and even worse than Biden's since he can't state a fact if his entire life depended on it. His campaign unfortunately will seize on Hur's report and spew it out unmercifully. America must disregard this distraction from a would-be dictator and his sycophantic minions and vote blue this November.

I'd rather vote for Biden in a coma any day over the Orange Hemorrhoid, as I refer to him.

“Perhaps most notable was Hur’s perplexing decision to include the withering descriptions of Biden’s memory and age in what should have been a narrowly defined legal report. Hur was appointed by AG Merrick Garland...”

Even more perplexing is Garland’s approving Hur’s report as written. It would’ve been well within his responsibilities (and obligation) to make sure the report focused on the narrowly defined legal issue at hand it did not include irrelevant medical opinions from somebody who is not a doctor.

On the other hand, perhaps not so perplexing given that Garland is cowardly.

Speculation isn't allowed in Court testimony, people who have no training in a field are not allowed to testify as expert witnesses, so why were both of these things allowed to be presented to the public in what was supposed to be a fact finding missive? Total failure DOJ, in your efforts to be more transparent than the redaction heavy and misleading previous AG, you've over compensated to our peril. Shame.

I read another article this morning that this opinion by Hur was a hit job. But he also said he didn't think it would last long as a story because of the wouldn't want to bring attention to Trump's health and mental status.

A political hit job is exactly what this was. Shame on AG Garland for appointing an obvious partisan to do this.
