Cruz barely won last time, less than 3 points, and Allred is out raising the previous democratic nominee (Beto) 3 to 1. I know money is not the end all be all, but it helps. Beto came out came out way too strong against the 2nd amendment and he could never recover from that, but Allred has shaped his message around women’s rights, education, and immigration reform, which is doing well here. Also Cruz is pretty well hated here especially after his attempted escape to Cancun when we were freezing and without power.
There will be a collective sigh of relief and a lot of celebrating if this all comes to pass. Feeling more hopeful each day. Not complacent, just hopeful.
