I thoroughly enjoyed the discussion today about our "toxic culture" as expressed in the "slap heard around the globe" on Oscars night. I agree with Bob's take on the incident and how our society has deteriorated in the recent past. It is horrible that people now lash out because of anxiety, fear, distrust, or just plain anger directed toward anyone they feel is responsible for making them feel that way. I hate to point this out, but this incivility I can point to the Orange Menace's trashing of the rules and norms of "polite" society and how he's inspired a whole raft of lawmakers who think like him and act like him such as Marjorie Taylor Greene, Mo Brooks, Matt Gaetz, Madison Cawthorn, et al. I don't see how we can go back to

earlier norms when this guy is still free and is allowed to sow more toxic aggression in his POT (Party of Trump). The Justice Department must do its job and indict this dangerous

individual. I also agree with Justin about the Chris Rock-Will Smith debacle: initially, I didn't care about it either after hearing so many people express their opinions about it the whole week when the war in Ukraine is still raging on. I also agree that Thomas should be removed from the Supreme Court, but I seriously doubt anything will be done, sadly. If this were a Democratic judge, there would definitely have been more outrage by conservatives demanding that he or she resign promptly. Bob's calling out Donald Dump out again was quite necessary, given that he implored an enemy of the country to help him on getting dirt on the Bidens. Is he still running for president again, I wonder? Maybe he's showing symptoms of dementia here then and no one wants to point it out. He must not be a candidate in 2024!
