There are always people who paint all politicians with the same brush. While many individuals in the Democratic party are not “perfect” who is? However, only one party attacks groups of people who are easy targets and lack the ability to fight back. There is only one party whose only policies are to stay in office at all costs. There is only one party trying to enhance the wealth of people whose pockets are already full to overflowing. There is only one policy that displays total indifference to the well being of our country and all its citizens. There is only one party headed at breakneck speed down the road to Facism. Guess which one.

In 2024 we will find out how many voters care about democracy itself. I expect reasonable adults from both parties to re-elect Biden in a landslide victory that will include blue majorities in the House and Senate. Many of us, like you, recognize the Democrats support democracy and the Republicans support fascism in hopes it will grant them Permanent GOP Minority Rule. Fascism will bring the collapse of law and order, then chaos.

This will not happen if "No Labels" really does pursue a "third-party" option. It will split the votes at the Presidential level and we will see Trump return to the White House.

I, too, went through a period when I was younger, where I believed that everything horrible that happened in the world was, in some way, the fault of the United States. Unlike Greenwald and his ilk, however, I was eventually disabused of that notion, I and thought it no longer valid after some of the changes that took place in the wake of the Church Commission. (Not there we’re angels now, but it’s nowhere near like it was in the 70s and 80s.)

I did, however tend to hang onto the ”no difference between Republicans and Democrats“ myth. I even voted for Nader at one point, and Javits in ‘76. The W years disabused me of that particular notion.

It’s one thing to have strongly held principles. It’s another thing to allow those principles to ossify in the face of changing realities, leaving them unexamined. 🤔😉😊

Obama was one of our greatest orators, just the pitch of his voice in his speeches were the same as if he were only conversing with you in one of the chairs by the fire place, where I might add he welcomed the monster into the White House, such a smooth transition even though Obama had every reason in the world to make it “not so easy.” He brought respect back to us after eight years of a White House run by those who would serve themselves, ie the Iraq invasion that NATO was against, I can’t get started on that. Obama accomplished so much during his eight years in office even though he couldn’t satisfy everyone in the party-much as the same way Joe Biden can’t, Obama didn’t sweat it, he moved on with his policies, Biden in my book does the same. They were a great fit together. I’d rather have a moderate in office, the two extremes in both parties will never be happy-that’s why they’re called extremist.
