I had been critical of Senator Booker as I didn't see him being as visible as I thought he could have. Boy, was I wrong! I am a civil service institution in Newark...26.5 years doing communications for it, through four mayors, 9/11, two hurricanes, COVID, the groundbreaking and opening of the Prudential Center, and your boss saving the lives of two people from a burning house.
Next day I was off, attending the religious observance of Opening Day at Yankee Stadium with my brother. As Hiroki Kuroda, David Robertson, and Alex Rodriguez shut down the California Angels, 5-0, my Blackberry wouldn't stop ringing, with requests for interviews from Radio Ireland, Australia, The Weather Channel, and TVLand, which wanted to present Cory with an award at a show honoring Jim Carrey for his role as "Uncle Bill the Fire Marshal." Way to trivialize heroics, fellas. I still managed to keep score.
It is “Liberation Day!” Liberate the Trump prisoners in El Salvador. I mean go down there and get them! Go and demand interviews. Demand immediate return to US. Cory Booker, are you up for it?
