“Will everyone who refused to get vaccinated on the basis that mRNA technology wasn’t safe pledge not to use it if they get cancer?”

Those who refused to get vaccinated because they believed lies about mRNA should absolutely be encouraged to continue with those beliefs.

I'm embarrassed by my previous support of Elon Musk. I had no idea what a ghoul he clearly is.

“as Democrats weigh whether to step in to shield McCarthy”

Democrats need to stop bailing out Republicans.

It was proper to do so on the recent vote to find the government given how many people would be hurt. (Although I wouldn’t have yelled too loudly of the Dems hadn’t and a shutdown helped hasten the final, inevitable ending of the Republican Party. A benefit worth the pain involved to get it.)

But keeping McCarthy in the Speaker’s chair? Absolutely not. If the Republicans can’t get enough votes together to decide who their own leader is then the Dems should do NOTHING to help them mask that fact.

I am not questioning the effectiveness of the vaccines but I am questioning for what you stated yourself as "benign" virus the hysteria to get vaccinated for the general public. I was vaccinated and boosted and still got sick with it few months later (in bed for a few days). I don't do well with the flu so I know my body but I am healthy. Whether I get the flu shot each year or not it's really a toss up. I get sick and then i get better.

This should of been encouraged for elderly and immuno compromised population. We are the only country now still pushing boosters for 6 months and up which is ridiculous.

In re: mRNA vaccines, I have a testimonial. I am 71 years old and a type 1 diabetic (I require an insulin pump to stay remotely healthy, and my immune system is flawed). I’m in good health, all things considered. I have TWO vaccination cards, one completely full, front and back, and one getting there. I got the most recent booster a week ago. Intramuscular pain was my only symptom; not every medical professional has “the magic touch.” The ones who do are worth their weight in gold. I am the only adult in my immediate family (including 2 lovely DILs) who HAS NOT had COVID. My grandson has had to come live with me on two occasions, because his parents were in quarantine. Gee, I wonder how that happened?
