All this tells me is how piss poor the United States has been since the the 1980s at pursuing white collar criminals and dodgy con artists. Now they've put one in the presidency, which is upending both the US and the world.
I used to respect the United States and its institutions. Now? Not so much. A country that can't even stop its biggest criminals was already in trouble before the Nazi muskrat and Putin's best buddy, aka the criminal-in-chief, were promoted as co-presidents. It's just that the trouble was hidden under the carpet, whereas now it's visible to everyone.
One of our major problems is most democratic leaders are baby boomers -- when you see them arms linked singing off key protest songs, you can't help but feel for them this is a nostalgia trip to the 1960's, and they're using the same techniques. Boomers have little skin in the game in terms of being alive to bear the decades of setbacks and hardships their whishy washy advocacy has resulted in. Look at the four different protests WITHIN the room at the State of the Union. And even the younger ones need to be media trained or thrown out. Jefferies is a flat out embarrassment of robotic Obama cosplay and stale talking points. Still trying to find the video of that white, middle aged, female house rep or senator who blushed and gushed while attempting to utter a curse word. With Newsom courting MAGA, I don't see any hopeful talent save for Wes Moore and Josh Shapiro, do you?
PS the DNC needs to hire Julie Roginsky to lead the think tank that can create the infrastructure. Here's where I can see Kamala Harris playing a major role in fundraising. In addition to political leaders, they need viral-prone influencers online and in major media to drive public opinion. Perhaps the time has come (with the pending sale) to rebrand MSNBC (which stands for two dinosaurs Microsoft and NBC) into something on par with OAN, FOX, InfoWars, Rogan and Britebart. Something that implies freedom, God, working class, and the French Revolution.

Every day there is some news to make my gut roil.

You have so many more serious troubles, including the fact that the US people voted in a majority for a known criminal enterprise.
