We keep focusing on these domestic social disputes over wokism and equal rights, and the list goes on. But I am thinking more and more about the foreign affairs angle to everything happening. Because it sounds to me that Tucker Carlson is increasingly a mouthpiece for Russian propaganda.

I'd really like to say "when the remaining minority of Republicans who don't worship Trump wise up and finally decide to split off to form their own new, actually conservative political party" but unfortunately I learned through hard experience to never attempt to make predictions about Republicans doing sensible, reasonable things.
PS - I think I found a way to remind myself to keep track of The Banter again... by putting up a big old bookmark right where I used to keep the old Daily Banter bookmark, instead of only remembering to look when I check my email maybe once every two months. I've been paying this whole time but still never remembered to actually read it.
PPS... and totally off-topic - One of the big things I've been distracted by lately is a podcast called "Old Gods of Appalachia," a story written and narrated by a gravelly-voiced literal slam-poet, that combines the folklore and ghost story traditions of Appalachia with Eldritch Horror. It's so damn good and so straight up my alley that I seriously cannot believe I had never heard of this thing, going for four years now, until just last weekend when I randomly stumbled upon the release of the new Role-Playing Game based on it just earlier this month.
