Thank you for the reassurance with great data to back it up!

"On November 5th, Americans get to turn the page on Trumpism"

Would that it were so. I believe Harris is poised to win. (After 2016 I'm hesitant to feel too over confident and say she *will*, but all signs point to Harris this time.) But that, alas, won't be much of a page turning. Trump and his brown shirts will be doing all they can to disrupt, overthrow, sow doubt.

When we get to Jan 20 and she's sworn in, I'll breathe a bit easier. There will still be half the country saying she didn't win legitimately, even if she had Nixon '72 like numbers. Like destructive weeds that just won't die, that will continue to be something we need to keep rooting out for years to come.

You’re right but I can take their whining a hell of a lot better than I can take another four years of Trump if I should live so long and I fear this time they’d have to drag him kicking and screaming from the White House because it’s the only thing that will delay his criminal prosecution in, I forgot how many felony’s now because his judge cannon in Florida has dropped his case there and it shouldn’t be. I can’t imagine having that many Americans blinded by Trump when he says absolutely nothing of substance, has no plans except to make the rich richer and he has made this clear to them so he’ll get those votes but even Elon musk can’t get the other big Silicon Valley gazillionaire’s that backed him to come out for him in pubic. They won’t shake his hand or be photographed with him but they’ll give him their backing because they know he’s going to deregulate everything that cost them profit and change the tax code, again, in their favor.

I hope you're right. At this point, I almost dread visiting my Substack account. I think everyone is worried that we are seeing a repeat of 2016, and I share that fear, even as I remind myself that this was eight years ago, and we know a hell of a lot more about Donald Trump than we did then. And I think his MAGA act is getting old. Really old. But I hope to god that we do NOT get complacent.

I really don’t see how you could want a repeat of the past four years.

Don't worry about 4 yrs of trump, I give him 6 months before his heart gives up or he is " Vance 'd".

The positive side of the horse raise click baiting is the fire it puts under everyone's ass to get out and vote -- president and down ballot. One of the most advertised races in Washington is for "Lands Commissioner" -- I can't imagine why but suspect a GOP cash grab to sell off drilling rights in State Parks. My only fear is the smug, ignorant protest voter. Affluent white women and college students of color, the former claiming "both sides are just as bad", the latter feeling Trump would be good for Gaza (oblivious that the exact opposite is true). Talking head political shows are now profit-generating "entertainment programming" versus what they used to be, Sunday AM shows provided in the public interest as part of the network's license obligation. MPBA! Make Politics Boring Again. There are plenty of good albums, concerts, movies, TV shows, public parks, sporting events, bars and restaurants to keep us entertained while politicians keep us safe, protect human rights, and keep our economy and infrastructure strong.

C'mon! How could anyone not vote for someone named Upthegrove for LANDS Commissioner?
