The Bro King of podcasting is back with a slew of idiotic conspiracy theories just as the 2024 election kicks into gear
by Ben Cohen
Not content with spreading massive amounts of misinformation during the Covid pandemic (and possibly killing lots of people), the Bro King of podcasting is back with a slew of idiotic conspiracy theories just as the 2024 election kicks into gear.
In a furious week of freestyle political commentary Joe Rogan wants his followers to believe Jan. 6th was a conspiracy theory, that Joe Biden is persecuting Donald Trump, that there was “real fraud” in the Kari Lake election in Arizona, and that the intelligence agencies are “colluding” to stop Trump becoming President again.
Here’s Rogan peddling the conspiracy theory that Jan. 6th was an inside job to comedian Jim Gaffigan:
“The intelligence agencies were involved in provoking people to go into the Capitol building,” said Rogan. “That’s a fact.”
Note: Rogan is repeating a widely debunked conspiracy theory that has cost Fox News $787 million.
On another episode this week with Patrick Bet-David, Rogan claimed that President Biden is behaving like a dictator and targeting Donald Trump for the same crimes he committed himself. “He's [Trump] being targeted… these are actions of a banana republic. You take your political rival and you arrest him, and specifically you charge him with things that you are fucking guilty of.”
Note: Trump is not being charged for the same crimes Biden is “guilty of”. Biden returned all classified documents in his possession, whereas Trump refused to return his, lied about it, and attempted to obstruct an investigation.
Rogan then suggested Democrats had rigged the Gubanatorial election in Arizona against Kari Lake. “It looks like there’s real fraud,” Rogan said. “At the very least, there were voting machines that weren’t working properly.”
Note: there was no fraud whatsoever in the election, and Lake’s lawyers were fined for lying about it.
On the same podcast, Rogan claimed the intelligence agencies conspired to keep Trump out of office:
“When you look at the Russia collusion, when you look at the Steele dossier, when you look at all the bullshit, they tried to throw at him that we now know is bullshit. Not just bullshit, but coordinated bullshit,” said Rogan. “When you look at the fact that they suppressed this Hunter Biden laptop story. And 51 intelligence agency representatives signed off on that to say that this is Russian disinformation, which we know they know is not true. That's scary. Because now you have the intelligence agencies colluding to keep a guy from being president, who was president during a time when the country was thriving economically."
Note: The Senate Intelligence Committee chaired by Republican Senator Marco Rubio released a damning report in 2020 proving definitively that there was significant collusion between the Trump campaign and the Russian government. Also, “51 intelligence agency representatives” did not sign off on the Hunter Biden laptop story being Russian disinformation. 51 former intelligence agency representatives did, meaning they did not work for the US government or represent it at the time.
Rogan also appears to think that Donald Trump did such a good job while in office that no one can run against his record:
“The fact that he was the President for four years, and the country was in a great economic situation, and it looked like his policies were actually effective,” he told Bet-David. “Unemployment was down. Business was booming. Regulations were being relaxed. More things were getting done. When you look at it from a policy perspective, what he did on paper was effective.”
Note: Rogan’s claims are factually wrong. Here’s what actually happened during Trump’s administration:
Interestingly, Rogan said that he would vote for Trump in 2024 over Biden, because the President is also apparently senile:
“He’d get my vote before Biden. I’ve said that before,” he said. “I never thought that Biden was going to make it. I never thought that he was going to be functional, regardless of what kind of power the President actually has… under Biden, he’s handled. He’s just out there talking….It’s all nonsense. Everyone is treating him with kid gloves because they don’t want to prop up Trump. They don’t want to go after him because it will weaken the Democratic Party.”
This is an odd claim to make given Rogan also believes Biden is the mastermind behind a vast conspiracy against Trump that includes coopting the US intelligence agencies and weaponizing the DoJ.
Thankfully for Rogan, his claims don’t have to make any sense because his audience isn’t interested in objectivity or truth. They want contrarian takes that conform to their conspiratorial worldview where Deep State Democrats, Anthony Fauci, Bill Gates and the World Health Organization want to control your mind and make you eat insects. Rogan doesn’t have to worry about doing any actual research or verifying whatever bonkers nonsense his latest MAGA friendly guest has told him, because he’s “just having a conversation.” Rogan could read the stunning revelations in the Trump indictments that spell out in excruciating detail the egregious and undeniable crimes Trump committed against his country, but that would mean taking his role as one of the biggest media personalities in America seriously. As we saw during the Covid pandemic, Rogan would rather generate controversy for clicks than take responsibility for the grotesque falsehoods promoted on his show.
Unfortunately for the rest of America, we’re going to have to put up with Rogan’s constant misinformation and conspiracy theories as we head into 2024, which will make reporting on the election even harder. Given Donald Trump could be running from prison, the contest is going to make 2020 look like a children’s tea party. Baseless conspiracy theories about an Alzheimer’s ridden President using his connections in the Deep State to suppress the will of the people might get good laughs on Youtube, but it could also help end democracy as we know it.
To his credit, Rogan has publicly acknowledged that he isn’t very bright. “I’m a fucking moron, and I’m a cage fighting commentator who’s a dirty stand-up comedian,” Rogan told his audience after receiving huge backlash for telling young people not to get vaccinated during the peak of the Coronavirus pandemic in 2021.
The problem is, Rogan continues talking about subjects he has no clue about, which makes him an exceptionally dangerous moron too.

Joe Rogan is a dumber Rush Limbaugh, and we all know what a malign influence the latter had on this country.
Since he is also spreading the falsities about the voting systems, can he not be held liable by them? Seems these things need to be litigated and quickly. He is dangerous. And moronic. Like his orange liege.
