Guys, let's try some subtlety here. First of all, the protestors were outside the DNC because that's where they thought they might be more effective. Why go protest outside the RNC when some of their members have stated they want to eradicate all the Palestinians? That's basically pissing into the wind, right!?! Go protest where you MIGHT have a chance of being heard. Second, while I respect your heritage and fully acknowledge the history, not everyone who isn't a part of your group is out to get you. We can actually see both sides of the issue, the mind-numbingly horrific nature of October 7th, and the mind-numbingly horrific nature of the indiscriminate bombing. Bebe has propped up Hamas and now, to stay in power and avoid prosecution, has no real incentive to stop bombing. I respect your background but your podcast is beginning to sound like you are using your heritage as a hammer and only seeing nails everywhere, including amongst people who might align with you in other areas.

Only yelling at Democrats because "Republicans won't listen" strips Republicans of any responsibility to represent the public. It is the -least- effective means of protest and has helped lead to a party of fascist extremists.

As for our heritage, respectfully, you would never say a Black person is overreacting to the threat of the police or using their heritage as a hammer. You would not have said this to a Muslim after 9/11. You would not said this to a member of the LGBTQ community after the Pulse massacre.

But you're comfortable saying that to us. After multiple synogauge shootings in just the last few years. A massive spike in anti-Semitic hate speech and hate crimes. Multiple attemted pograms in Russia. An attempted pogram in BROOKLYN, of all places. A Jewish man murdered for the henious crime of *checks notes* supporting Israel. You're really going to say we're overreacting because we're not seeing both sides of the issue?

Please, tell me more about how the alt-left hasn't been harrassing, assaulting, and literally threatening to kill American-Jews because, let me consult my notes here again, oh right, the Israeli government has been doing terrible things that American Jews have no connection to. Tell me what both sides of the issue are here.

If a black person was telling me everyone was always racist, if a LGBTQ member was telling me everyone was homophobic, if a Muslim was telling me everyone was anti-Muslim, I would most definitely say they were using their identity/heritage as a hammer. And the snark in your reply kinda makes my point...

I am extraordinarily sympathetic to your history and the devastating consequence of the discrimination. Your rhetoric will never help resolve conflicts. I have tried to stick with you and understand your position but your inability to engage maturely leaves me cold and disgusted. I will bow out now and let you stay in your shrinking echo chamber.

"If a black person was telling me everyone was always racist" but we're not doing that, are we? We've been very clear about who we are talking about, using very explicit examples of the behavior.

I'm sorry that you don't want to hear the viewpoint of the people living it. Again, you would not speak like this to literally any other group. But you're more than comfortable telling us how we should process the prejudice we're experiencing.

Maybe you should pause for a second and ask yourself why that is. Why you feel you can tell Jews, and -only- Jews, that they're overreacting.

When Republicans speak like this to every other group, and they do, I pormise you, you've had been deeply offended on their behalf. And here you are, doing the exact same thing. But do go on about how I'm out of line. :)

Just wanted to say, people demonstrate and disparage Democrats because society/media has perpetuated the thought that only Democrats have agency. Democratic Party is always held accountable while the Republican Party is not held accountable for their actions.

Not saying there was no antisemitism present at the demonstration, but the agency issue is also a factor as to why they were at the DNC rather than the RNC.

You don't know where or when I might be suggesting to other groups they should tone down the rhetoric.

Hysterics, and I use that word intentionally, will only result in more death. You're escalating everything just like the Hamas rhetoric.

The differences are becoming more and more minute.

I totally agree with you on keeping both things as true.
