We're too young to have registered for Vietnam, and when President Carter restarted registration it began with those born in 1960. You have to go back to the Cleveland administration (roughly) to find another cohort of men who never had to register for a US draft.
I'm all for criticizing Republicans for hawkishness, but it's idiotic to then defend Hillary "we came, we saw, he died" Clinton in the same breath: she pushed Bill to bomb Yugoslavia, voted for the Iraq War, presided over the bombing of Libya and advocated further bombing in Syria. Hillary Clinton never met a military intervention she didn't like. As her close foreign policy ally Albright once said: "What is the point of having this superb military you're always talking about if you can't use it?"
And against this robust war record, you claim Trump doing basically nothing (failing to lead us to victory in Afghanistan puts him only on par with all the other presidents we've had since) as... hawkish? There are a million better things to roast him for than supposedly being more *warlike* than Hillary.
And yet, Trump has brought the world closer to world war than anything any Democrat has done in out lifetime. You don't have to be hawkish to be a danger to world peace. Trump was already licking the boots of dictators while he was running in 2016. Giving them permission to run rampant is worse than flexing our military muscle.
