The Israeli response was calculated to send a loud but not damaging message to the Iranians, namely that "We could have done MUCH worse, and now you know it."

I disagree. “Loud” overstates it considerably. I think the intensity, or lack thereof, of Israel’s counter-counter-attack was an indication of how much Netanyahu fucked up, and demonstrates his weakness. Iran realized this, as reflected in their reaction, which was along the lines of, “haters gonna hate, shake it off”. 🤔😉😊

As this appears true, Iran has won this round. They did what nearly everybody in the west had been telling Netanyahu he should have done, namely “take the W“ (or whatever the equivalent letter would be in Farsi). Once again, Netanyahu’s bigotry and stupidity has damaged Israel.🤔😉😊
