I read reports that money sent from USAID to other countries was not appreciated by the people of the country, but saw it as a way to make them subservient to the USA. We have long had that reputation. Is it just that the Democrats are supposed to find corruption first? Every post I read says the "opposite" party, and followers of such, are a threat to democracy. It is hard to know where to look. Most of what I read comes from reporters. I will look those people up. What I heard through interviews was Democrats and Republicans were having trouble getting responses from USAID- they did not feel they had to answer to congress. USAID is also not elected but they send our money to causes most people are not aware. Which is ok, until we are in such deficit and find abuse. Abuse is in the eye of the owner it seems.
