Just as disturbing is that you never hear of an uproar about trans boys playing in boys' sports which (if the original 'theory' persists) means that the trans boy would NOT have a 'natural physical advantage' over 'real' boys, and (by their thinking) should be excluded---but they're not, because to them, trans boys are really girls and it's ok of they lose.

I've known TONS of girls and women who are way stronger than a lot of guys, and a lot of guys who are frail and weak physically. This 'trans crisis' is 100% bullshit. It's one more thing proving their obsession with people's body parts and what they do with them.

I have always been ridiculously strong, able to do as much or more than my football playing brothers. We need to let kids be kids and stop folks from pulling them into the hate, period!

Exactly. Teaching kids the wrong message at that age can have a lifelong negative impact on the kids. It's disgusting how trans kids get targeted. They are just kids like every other kid. Leave them be.

Thank you Bob. I’m deeply disappointed in the governor I’ve supported and the state Ive always been proud of. This bigotry does not belong anywhere but especially in California.

“There is no evidence that a cis man has ever pretended to be a trans woman to gain a competitive edge."

What possible "evidence" could there ever be for this? Does the holy Church of Trans have official mind readers, in the manner of Christian exorcists?

"The idea that we don’t know if men have an advantage in sports simply cannot be the liberal talking point if liberals ever want to win another election; it may be the single dumbest talking point even in a world in which 'Bill Gates put a microchip in the vaccine' is out there." - Jeff Maurer

World Record for women in 100m Track&Field Running is ...? For men it is ...? And in Marathon, High Jump, Wide Jump, javelin it is ... ?

But 'there are no differences between men & women' and 'trans have no advantage'" - for sure !

But don´t ask questions, or you´re a fascist. Amen.

And among Leftists there are no fascists. Amen.

Your elaborate is a sad example of how "Leftists" shove away all question that could disturb their ideologies just like Rep.s do.

You are not about helping disadvantaged people but only about your ideologies.

And who has the most disadvantages from it are those you claim you wanted to help. You´re (mis)using them. You´re a liar just as Trump is.

You’ve convinced me. There’s no reason to have sex segregated sports.

I'm trans and feel the Left's over-correction on the issue has given MAGA unlimited fuel to make a case to their base that our entire community is a threat that warrants extinction. In a perfect world, given how insanely few trans female athletes there are, each one would be afforded a nuanced and educated discussion to determine if they are within the average of athletic ability and strength of their intended teammates and opponents. In some sports, this will never be an issue (like video gaming, chess, or golf). In other sports, a significant physical advantage could be unfair to everyone else (lets say, bodybuilding) or could cause physical injury (any contact sport). And here's where the Left needs to breathe and be reasonable. Just because someone "declares" a gender identity, doesn't mean they automatically get to switch sports teams. And once they are deep into medical, surgical, and psychological therapy and treatment, their ability to fairly compete should be re-evaluated on a regular basis. But both sides seem to want an ALL or NOTHING verdict on the issue, which does not make sense, and is nor fair to anyone involved. Same goes with bathroom and locker room access. I've been on HRT for years and would still never dream of entering the ladies room, but that's just me, based upon my pass ability. My individual circumstances should not apply to everyone, just as other's experiences should not uniformly be cast upon me. On the latter front, society would benefit from more gender neutral bathrooms, but we're not there yet. And if a trans student is pre-op, by no means should they be in the incongruent locker room and shower even if their gender has already transitioned in spirit.

It hit me after I typed all that that both sides are playing the political issue of Trans Sports like a sport, where one side must win and the other side must be crushed. With this mentality, everyone loses. And for that micro micro percentage of trans athletes (among the already slim pool of total trans athletes) who are deemed unable to safely or fairly complete in their chosen sport -- you know what, take one for the team and sit it out. Take up art, writing, debate, or some other pursuit and move on with what we all hope will be a safe, connected, fabulous, beautiful, and fulfilling life.
