One thing that hit me with media coverage this week, it's all been about Trump/Vance angling for a way to attack Harris/Walz. Never once do those candidates talk about political agendas, policies, or platforms. Because they have none -- and the media never calls them out on it. They've even bought into the narrative that Project 2025 kinda just went away. Dems are supposed to be the adults in the room, the boring squares, the policy wonks, the people who will actually clean up the messes the GOP makes. The GOP are then given free reign to hit below the belt, spew likes, stoke fear, air grievances, and most importantly oppress 90% of the population -- and the media just lets it happen. If there is a hell, not only will it be packed to the gills with MAGA supporters, but also those in in positions of power who allowed the movement to happen and helped fan the flames.

Laughing at my own typo -- "spew likes" should be "lies" of course. If anyone is spewing genuine LIKES, it's Harris/Walz.

It was executed absolutely perfectly - as a double entendre. The phrase now has 2 meanings, one risqué. I actually loved it- it was witty… without going down to jr high level humor. I’m a 60 yr old woman … who works in a HS, it’s def funny. And it was the appropriate venue - a stump speech at a rally. If he pulled that out during a debate or an interview , I’d be surprised - but he seems to have an acute sense of time/place appropriateness. Most of the never Ts were all uptight about it … except for R Wilson, M Steele … they were all in 😉

It’s refreshing to see Dems fighting fire with fire. A controlled burn is more effective than a fire extinguisher in these times.

I heard someone say chosing Walz is to reassure white people not to be afraid? 🤷‍♀️ I like him though.

Okay, but there’s very little normal about the progressive wing. DEI is weird, their antisemitism is weird, “birthing people” is weird as shit, pronoun declaration is weird, dickless men in women’s bathrooms and sports is weird, “defund the police” is weird, being pro Islamist is weird, stating “but Islamophobia” when anti-Jewish attacks by Muslims and the far left quadrupled is weird. If you forget how weird progressives are you’ll be in trouble as soon as the definitely weirdest in the room Trump and Vance bow out. As long as the Democratic Party goes along with progressive messaging and policies they’ll be dragging along a whole lot of fucking weird that nobody outside the far left agrees with.
