2 me, what happened is exactly what russia did to Ukraine....it's like it has russia all over the crimes , meaning...he hasn't stopped anything? They just want to spread damage everywhere to take focus off what's happening here....2 help the 🍊 man....and lately, I'm seeing exactly what occurred before 2016,...when we were being swamped with disinformation...

.and the 🍊 man....info in media...is a lot...and all fake news!...my opinion only....we must continue to help Ukraine...or they will attempt to control where democracies want freedoms...everywhere....it's like it's their last ditch effort!

Another preachy article claiming that Israel is in Gaza for 'revenge' or 'vanity' or 'tribalism'. It's easy to lecture from abroad, when in reality Israel is two miles from Gaza city. This war is specifically to destroy the terrorist infrastructure of Hamas, not 'revenge', though I'm happy that the people behind the largest single day massacre of Israeli civilians (or any civilians since 9/11, but of course Israelis don't count for 'progressives') are being killed.

As for 'tribalism', excuse me but Israel is multi-ethnic, multi-religious, more diverse than any country in the entire MENA region. Israeli Arabs are massively behind their state and denounce the massacre committed by Palestinian death squads. Many dozens of those murdered were Arab Israeli, and Hamas rockets target everyone in Israel. On the other side you have a 99% Sunni Palestinian territory of Hamastan, lead by savage Islamist extremists. How hard do you need to ignore reality to claim 'tribalism' being the cause of Israel's response. Hamas is definitely tribal, so call things as they are, not as you imagine it to be.

After 9/11 Al Qaeda weren't controlling a large portion of Long Island and lobbing rockets into NYC. But after 10/7 Hamas were lobbing ten thousand rockets at Israeli civilians. After 9/11 most people in the US were under no threat of Al Qaeda attacking them, because they were based on the opposite side of the world. After 10/7 Hamas was still in place, and if it was up to you, the 'progressive' thing would be to just let them be, wait for them to regroup and strike again. Fuck that, thank you. When you're willing to live alongside ISIS, you'll get to talk. Right now you spent a lot of effort being sanctimonious.

I've heard your exact attitude from others in the US who consider themselves progressive, and the thing is, you don't know what you're talking about. You don't know how you would respond if your community was attacked and your neighbors and maybe your family members were tortured, raped, murdered and/or kidnapped. The people in the Gaza Envelope kibbutzes were mainly progressive, left wing, pro peace. Many participated in anti-government protests. Many were actively involved in helping Gazans from the alleged 'open air prison' (tens of thousands worked every day in Israel, many crossed in for medical treatment). If you actually read interviews with the survivors, most have changed their tune about peace with Palestinians, due to their newly acquired horrifying personal experience. You really think you're immune from responding as they did? Luckily you haven't been put to the test, but seriously do not preach. You have no moral superiority, you simply have no such experience.

Got it. Hold on for a quick edit. Hopefully “sanctimonious fellah” isn’t offensive.
