Hey, Ben, if you don’t know what a “decoder ring” is, you need to drink more Ovaltine!🤔😉😊

Quick side note, it’s not terribly surprising that Ben is not familiar with either the “Jack Armstrong, All-American Boy” or “Little Orphan Annie” radio shows of the late 40s. First, he grew up in the UK; second, they’re before his time — he’ll, they’re before *my* time, and I’m 73.🤔😉😊

I don't know how I survived the whole debate! I watched the entire two hours and I now regret doing so. I agree with you that the debate was worthless; it illustrated nothing new about the repugnican party other that Ron DeSatan is more of a prick than anything else. I was also transfixed over that one moment when the camera focused on him thinking to himself over whether to smile or not and not knowing what to do in that moment other to appear like a fool. He had no charisma or charm. He feigned familiarity when he mentioned meeting constituents and reporting their concerns. Such a freaking phony! He had the temerity to mention firing Anthony Fauci who has retired about a year ago. Who cares about this now?

The other "debaters" were disgraceful, especially the always-smiling Vivek Ramaswamy who had such a chip on his slender shoulders, it wasn't funny at all. As you mentioned, only Nikki Haley came across as more reasoned and more truthful, which is what, exactly, Republicans don't want, as you pointed out, especially when she stated that the deficit ballooned during Trumpty Dumpty's administration. I admired Chris Christie dumping on Dumpf, but the audience booed him remorselessly. Mike Pence made too many remarks about his being close to his God - gag me already! Does he know there is still separation between church and state in this country?

As for Donald Dumpf, who bothered to watch his counter-interview with the former Fox "News" host Tucker Carlson? I certainly wouldn't - and didn't. It's so ironic that Dumpf sat down with Carlson after it was revealed that Carlson hated him with a passion during the lawsuit proceedings against Fox News.

And Ben can say he regretted watching only an hour of this useless debate when I viewed a full hour more. I will promise now not to watch any more of these Republican debates in the future.
