You guys came SO close to connecting the two dots on the tampon issue -- yes there's a built in hatred of women (in evangelical eyes, females serve two purposes -- pleasure vessels and moms), but the central part of the tampon tax agenda is to keep women of color down -- out of school, and more likely to enter the prison or prostitution or low-income labor pipelines. Imagine working minimum wage and having to put in 2-3 hours of work per month just to cover hygiene products. Next, the best Tampon Tim meme this week has the headline: "He stops red waves." Finally, let's start taking it as an absolute given that Trump has enough county election commissioners in the bag to not certify their elections, setting fake elector schemes into motion that the GOP house will decide upon, kicking it to the courts which goes to SCOTUS handing Trump the presidency. My one hope is they were so transparent about it Biden and the DOJ can do something NOW to prevent it. Worse case, Biden is 81 and exiting the presidency -- use newfound Immunity Powers and, as an official act, arrest any county election commissioner who refuses to certify their election.

It would be totally unlike Biden to abuse the powers of his office but, similar to his stepping aside for the greater good, I hope, if it came down to it, that he’ll use the immunity SCOTUS gave him to ensure to legitimate election results are certified.

A threat in a few key ears (Speaker Johnson, conservative Justices) would likely be enough. Send an emissary to let them know in no uncertain terms “If you pull *anything* even close to Bush v Gore or try to mess with the legitimate outcome of the election in *ANY* way, I will officially declare you personally a threat to national security and have you disappeared to Gitmo. Do not test me.”

Both of you need a trip to Minnesota and to Fargo, ND—but please don’t use it as a check-in on “the average Midwesterner.”
