It's a wicked thought, and bad for public health, but I have found a quiet enthusiasm in myself for Republicans avoiding immunization and taking horse medicine. They want to own the libs by committing a kind of slow genocide on their own people? Gosh, I feel so owned already!

Happy to have you back!

I've stated before on The Banter that I don't want anyone to die...I don't wish it on anyone. If folks are so determined to do so by dismissing good sense and believing the horseshit being peddled by the numerous misinformation death merchants then there's not much to be done. My sympathy is gone...sad to say. You can only tell your kid so many times that the fire will burn them and if they insist on touching it then that's what will teach them. My big concern is for those that can't get vaccinated...like kids. In fact I recently learned that my 11month old grand-niece just recovered from Covid. 11 months old (no harsh symptoms or anything like that). My nephew and his wife are not anti-vax yet their baby got it. Unfortunately they're in one of the hot spots in the deep south so the odds were not favorable for their baby girl.

I do think that the governors that are preventing local mask mandates and effectively inflicting genocide on their population should be charged with negligent homicide if possible. It also looks like that since the vaccines are now FDA approved that businesses will require proof of vaccination in order for people to be served by those businesses (ex. airlines) regardless of what governors say.

Here's something to keep in mind, the number of people that Ron DeSantis won by to be elected Governor of Florida has been surpassed by the number that have died from Covid largely by his own doing. His unpopularity is growing daily. So yeah, Mike is spot on to wonder if the deaths by Covid will affect elections. Yes, morbid thought and even cold to think about...but it's happening in real time.
