There’s a loophole in the 22nd Amendment. The 22nd Amendment says you can’t be “elected” more than twice; it doesn’t say you can’t *serve* more than twice.

So follow this horrifying scenario if you can: Trump gets elected in ‘24 (pardon me while I hurl). Then in ‘28, he runs as *Vice President* with some quisling running as President. They win. Then, on January 20, 2029, President Quisling gets inaugurated. Six hours later, President Quisling resigns, leaving “Vice President“ Trump as President. Rinse and repeat.

It’s easier than getting a constitutional amendment passed.🤔😉😊

You’re right. And that’s just the kind of interpretation the conservative justices on SCOTUS would happily contradict all their previous “we need to consider the intentions of the founders when interpreting a law” to support.
