In today’s episode of The Banter Roundtable Podcast, we talk the rapidly escalating climate apocalypse, Tucker Carlson’s new media company and his rapidly disintegrating show, the new government shut down we all have to look forward to, our new “fascist of the week” segment, and to top it off, some very good news!!
I wonder why the spineless democrats do not sue Tucker, sloppy Steve, Mad Max and False social for lies and defamation. Didn’t Melania sue a paper and run them out of business because they stated she was a stripper. Isn’t dressing in a bunny suit that is very very small and cover very very little somewhat the prefer dress of strippers just saying. Democrats cohones up gett a pair of big ones.
As I see Justin already has answered your hesitation in calling Tucker Carlson a white supremacist. He does endorse this dangerous conspiracy theory of the Great Replacement Theory and if that's not code for white supremacy, I don't know what else you can call it. Maybe this will convince you as to where Tucker Carlson stands on this issue.
I am so happy that you have reported here that Tucker Carlson is losing audience share. He is a repulsive person and deserves to be tuned out! He is a polarizing figure, just like the ex-president, and this country can do without such commentators on the air. No one really cares now about this former Fox "star." The best thing to happen to Carlson is that he is canceled by Twitter if and when Elon Musk is forced to sell the platform to other interests that will not tolerate the rantings of a white supremacist like Carlson.
As for the fascist of the week, I can't tell who is worse: Moms for Liberty or that poster child for Republican idiocy, Marjorie Taylor Greene. They are equally appalling, especially the jerk that Justin quoted as mentioning "Americans and Jews" in separate terms. How loathsome! Was the guy's name Jeffrey Toobin or something like that? I will ignore him from now on.
I agree with Justin at the end of the podcast in his assessment of the economy going into an election year. I like Justin's assessment of Biden inheriting a "pile of shit" from Donald Dumpf and this is encouraging news. Let this situation continue way into 2024 and this will seal the fate of repugnicans who can only run on culture wars which most discerning Americans have rejected from Day 1! Even though a majority of voters do not want to see a rematch of Biden versus Dumpf! But who else is there among both Democrats or Republicans? "Death"Santis is tumbling in the polls; it is very unlikely that he will emerge as the nominee. I'm afraid then we are stuck with the twice-impeached, so-far-twice-indicted, sexual predator of a former president. Unless something miraculous happens, which seems unlikely at this juncture.
He's at a severe disadvantage against Biden so if Republicans want to lose the House and keep the Senate in the hands of Democrats, let them be stupid enough to run Trump again. They'll deserve everything they get.
I wholeheartedly agree with you. Republicans are in a death spiral with Dumpf and when they lose election after election because of him, then maybe they might abandon him - and even then, they probably won't.
Please elaborate on your Tucker being a white suprematism. I looked for examples on hundreds of videos and I couldn’t find anything that would suggest this.
That does sound like a racist comment. I don’t think it shows that he’s a white supremacist. I think if you look at the text in it’s entirety it shows the opposite. Here’s what he wrote after that statement. “Yet suddenly I found myself rooting for the mob against the man, hoping they’d hit him harder, kill him. I really wanted them to hurt the kid. I could taste it. Then somewhere deep in my brain, an alarm went off: this isn’t good for me. I’m becoming something I don’t want to be. The Antifa creep is a human being. Much as I despise what he says and does, much as I’m sure I’d hate him personally if I knew him, I shouldn’t gloat over his suffering. I should be bothered by it. I should remember that somewhere somebody probably loves this kid, and would be crushed if he was killed. If I don’t care about those things, if I reduce people to their politics, how am I better than he is?”
I personally don’t know anyone who identifies as a white supremacist but I doubt if they would self reflect and have a change of heart. Maybe you have other examples.
Thanks for your civility in this conversation. I am on the fence about Tucker. I hear both good and bad things and I’m looking for the truth.
If you don’t see that Tuck Tuck is a white supremacist, it’s because you don’t want to see. It’s like me demanding that you prove that the sky is blue because there are clouds in the sky.
Tucker Carlson trucks in Great Replacement Theory. That is explicitly white nationalist, as in, it originated with white nationalists, only white nationalists believe it, and only white nationalists repeat it.
Re: Tuchus‘s numbers, keep in mind also that someone who looks in for a few minutes, then quits, counts as a “view“ just as much as someone who sat through the whole thing. ,,,
Speaking of MTG, @Ben Cohen, this tweet encapsulates why you and so many others get it wrong when you whine about the Dems doing things for the middle class (which they are and the GOP is not):
Haven't had time to listen yet to find out. Who is "MJT"? I don't recognize the initials.
(And why does everyone have to be referred to by initials today? It feels like it's some new slang that, if you don't get it, then clearly you're not one of the cool kids.)

“Jumping a guy like that is dishonorable obviously. It’s not how white men fight”
- Tucker Carlson, White Supremacist asshole

I enjoy reading your posts even when I disagree.

This is fact that cannot be debated.

Breaks my heart...

You wish you had half the audience Tucker has.
I don't.
What happened to be civil?
Why would anyone want an audience that’s filled with morons?

If you're asking about "MTG", that's Marjorie Taylor Greene and I, personally, abbreviate her name because it's annoying to type it out. :)
Thanks. Either my eyes were playing serious tricks on me (district possibility) or there was a typo in the headline (now fixed).
35% of Texas energy production is solar and wind? How woke…🤔😉😊
I know right?! Ted Cruz would gnaw his arm off before admitting it.
