Excellent discussion. I try to think of Matt Taiibii as the Left's Giuliani. Proof that the past, while possible prologue, is not necessarily epilogue. Your Banter provides a nice political home for those of us who are progressive realists, committed to human rights and practical politics.
Back in the olden days of the 70's, registering for a quarter at Cal Poly in SLO was about 50.00 in 1976...it cost more to buy your books. That is how I, and my friends were able to graduate with zero loan debt. I worked from my 2nd qtr foward, as well, had 2 jobs the last few years to save money for after graduation, and lived a older but nice 2 story aprtment with 1 roomie for 90.00 ea/month, no car just my 10 speed...etc. A much more stressfree life than current college students. enjoy
Guys —- the McCain trolling by the NH Libertarian Party was way worse than you think. They posted it on August 25, the four-year anniversary of John McCain’s death. By doing that and saying “Happy Holidays,” the Losertarian Party is declaring McCain’s death day as a holiday.
