Always fun to hear about how the rise of MAGA is ultimately the Democrat's fault. I had forgotten the good ole days when having an IQ higher than the trashy guy from Idiocracy got you labeled "elite".

I do agree that as a party, the Democrats are talking down to certain Americans. Walsh frames that as a shortcoming but I prefer to see it as a boon. There are wide swaths of Americans that need to be ignored in order for anything to improve. They weren't left behind, they're sitting in the fucking road demanding to be carried. Not catering to these obstinate conservatives frees Democrats to be real progressives and maybe improve the lives of the 90% of the country that needs healthcare, infrastructure, housing, food, and education. Because guys like Matt Walsh STILL think those essentials cost too much and can't be part of the social contract.

Living in a red state, my cardinal rule for political discourse is to never let conservatives dictate the verbal battlefield. They're trained to do it too well, and Walsh proved that here in getting you to spend most of his time blaming Democrats for the state of politics when really it has a lot more to do with the shitty policy he himself worked for a decade ago. And he knows that.

Yup, AA are the base voters of the party, but go ahead and try to get the WWC to vote for you, especially considering they haven't voted for dems since the VRA & CRA was passed.

Ask Tim Ryan. He literally begged the WWC to vote for him, and snubbed the base of our party.
